Welcome to the Queer Student Union!

The Queer Student Union at the University of Virginia is Charlottesville's oldest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning individuals. As such, we strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and confidential environment for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning individuals in the community. We also organize services, activities, and social programs for the student population at UVA, with an emphasis on queer culture and social thought. As the largest LGBT group on Grounds, we work to represent and advocate LGBT students' concerns to the University's administration, alumni/ae, and the local government. For more information on QSU, please visit the About Us link beneath the banner at the top of the page.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and indepent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise, or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization's contracts, acts, or omissions.
