How to Get Involved
Looking to do more than attend our meetings? From volunteer positions to VP committees and social groups, QSU offers many opportunities to get involved with its social, service-oriented, or activist activities. Click the links below to sign up for QSU programs.
QSU hosts Drag Bingo every semester to showcase UVA’s impressive drag talents and to raise money for our organization. Sign up below to be a student performer for this semester's bingo! No previous experience required. Or if you're a behind-the-scenes person, the Drag Bingo Committee oversees Bingo planning activities, seeking prize donations, coordinating performers, and helping to set up on the day of the event. The committee meets once a week beginning four weeks prior to Bingo.
Are you new to QSU and looking for friends? Or are you a seasoned QSU member with wisdom to share? Either way, sign up for QSU’s Bigs/Littles Program: the sorority-style mentorship program that pairs older QSU members with younger ones to create a more cohesive and welcoming community. After being paired at the start of the semester, Bigs and Littles meet once a month for social and bonding activities.
QSU is proud to advocate on behalf of UVA’s LGBTQ students, ensuring that the University and its administrative policies allow queer individuals to feel safe and supported. Run by the VP of Student Activism, the Activism Committee works toward this end, meeting twice a semester to plan activist endeavors and discuss ways to improve queer life on Grounds.
